In preparation for the upcoming Merrie Monarch Hula Competition, the kane of Halau I Ka Wekiu will be going on a huaka'i around the ahupua'a of Waialua.  The purpose of this journey is to help both the students and kumu further understand and comprehend the meaning of their mele kahiko.  The huaka'i begins in Kamananui, continues on to Kukaniloko, Pa'ala'a, and Ka'ena Point then finally ends up in Waimea.  Merrie Monarch 2010--here we go!!
